Arabic Cartoons, TV Shows and Films > Arabic Anime
The best place to watch anime in Arabic legally is Spacetoon Go, the channel's own streaming app, whose Arabic dubs of Detective Conan and Hunter x Hunter aired across the Arab world. For new anime, Crunchyroll now carries an Arabic audio track on Frieren, Spy x Family and others. Nearly every Arabic anime dub is in fusha, Modern Standard Arabic.
Arabic anime means two different things to the people who search for it. Most want anime dubbed into Arabic: the Lebanese and Syrian dubs of the 1980s and 1990s, or the new ones arriving on streaming services. A smaller group wants anime set in the Arab world. For each title below you get the Arabic you will actually hear and a place to watch it without a pirate site, two things the forum threads and fan wikis rarely give.
Everything below was read from the services' own pages on 2 November 2026, from the United States. We have not watched every dub end to end, and catalogues change by country and by month, so check the service before you subscribe.
Anime with an official Arabic dub
Eleven anime and one film with an Arabic dub you can still trace to the company that made it, and the legal place to watch each one on 2 November 2026. Two famous ones, Captain Majid and Adnan wa Lina, have no official stream at all.

Spacetoon Go: our top pick
Spacetoon Go is the one service built around Arabic-dubbed anime, and it is where the Spacetoon dubs live now. Its Google Play listing names Detective Conan, Dragon Ball Super, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Digimon, Haikyu, Kuroko's Basketball and Inazuma Eleven, plus older series such as Sally, Pollyanna and Romeo, and claims more than 10,000 Arabic-dubbed episodes and films.
The app is free to download and carries ads. On 2 November 2026 its website priced the ad-free plans at 69.99 USD a year (Plus, two profiles) and 99.99 USD a year (Pro, four profiles), with a 7-day free trial. Google Play showed more than 10 million downloads and a 4.0 rating from 131,000 reviews. Spacetoon also runs an official YouTube channel, with 1.46 million subscribers on the day we checked.
For a learner, the draw is the Arabic itself. The dubs come from Venus Centre (مركز الزهرة Markaz al-Zahra), the Syrian company Spacetoon has long worked with, and Spacetoon keeps to fusha so that every Arab country can follow. Detective Conan is the one to start with. Most cases end with a long explanation of who did it and how, so you get clear, careful fusha in the same shape every time a case closes.
One drawback: Spacetoon sometimes edits its imports for a family audience, usually cutting violence, nudity and religious symbols, so some scenes can differ from the Japanese original.
Shahid: the 1970s and 1980s classics
Shahid, MBC's streaming service, is the legal home of the oldest Arabic anime dubs. Its search returned Grendizer, Sindbad, Flone, Sally and Daddy-Long-Legs on 2 November 2026, along with The Journey and the second season of Future's Folktales. The first episode of Flone, Sally and Daddy-Long-Legs was free; everything else needed a subscription. Shahid's price depends on your country, so we do not quote one.
These dubs are worth hearing even if you never watched them as a child. The Grendizer dub was recorded in Lebanon in 1978-1979 with Jihad Al-Atrash as Duke Fleed, and his battle cry الويل للمعتدين (al-waylu lil-mu'tadin, "woe to the aggressors") is the line the Arabic Wikipedia article on the show quotes. It is also a neat lesson in fusha grammar: الويل al-wayl (woe) plus لِـ li- (to, for) plus المعتدين al-mu'tadin (the aggressors).
Crunchyroll: new anime with an Arabic track
Crunchyroll is the place for current anime in Arabic. Its series pages list Arabic as an audio language on recent hits, and all five series we checked that have an Arabic dub also listed Arabic subtitles. For a learner that pairing matters: you can hear Arabic and read it at the same moment.
Crunchyroll does not say which variety of Arabic its dubs use, and we have not listened to enough of them to tell you. And a subtitle track is often translated separately from the dub script, so the words on screen may not match the words you hear; check one episode before you rely on it. Crunchyroll offered a 7-day free trial of Premium on its series pages when we checked.
Future's Folktales: the anime made in two kinds of Arabic
Future's Folktales (أساطير في قادم الزمان Asatir fi Qadim al-Zaman, "Legends in Times to Come") is the one anime we found with a dialect version. It was made by Manga Productions in Riyadh with Toei Animation in Japan, and first aired on 24 January 2020. A grandmother in the Riyadh of 2050 tells her grandchildren old Arabian folktales.
It exists in two Arabic versions: a colloquial one shown on MBC1 and a fusha one shown on Spacetoon. Watching one episode in both is a rare chance to hear the same lines in spoken Arabic and in fusha. Season 2 was on Shahid on 2 November 2026, for subscribers; Shahid does not say which of the two versions it carries. If you are learning a Gulf dialect, our Saudi Arabic resources list the courses and books for it.
Anime set in the Arab world
We found four anime set in the Arab world or in its stories. Three of them can be watched in Arabic.
| Anime | Where it is set | Arabic audio? | Where to watch legally (checked 2026-11-02) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arabian Nights: Sindbad's Adventures (1975) | The world of the Thousand and One Nights; Sindbad travels with Ali Baba and Aladdin | Yes, the classic dub | Shahid, subscription |
| The Journey (2021) | Mecca, in the Year of the Elephant; a potter named Aws defends the city | Yes | Crunchyroll and Shahid |
| Future's Folktales (2020, 2024) | Riyadh in 2050, framing old Arabian folktales | Yes, colloquial and fusha versions | Shahid (season 2), subscription |
| Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (2012) | A fantasy world built on the Thousand and One Nights, with its own Aladdin, Alibaba and Sinbad | No: Japanese, English and Russian only on Crunchyroll | Crunchyroll |
How we chose, and what we left out
A title made this page only if we could name the legal place to watch it, or say plainly that there is none. That rule cut most of what the forum threads recommend, because the easiest way to find Arabic-dubbed anime online is a pirate streaming site, and we do not link those.
What we left out, and why:
- Full episodes of Captain Majid and Adnan wa Lina on YouTube. They are uploaded by viewers, not by Spacetoon or any rights holder. Both shows are in the table so you know they exist and that no official stream did on 2 November 2026.
- The Heroic Legend of Arslan. It turns up on lists of anime set in the Middle East, but its kingdom of Pars is modelled on Persia, not on the Arab world, and Crunchyroll's search did not return it.
- Grendizer U (2024). Manga Productions released an Arabic-dubbed version of this remake, but we could not find it on Shahid or any other service on the day we checked, so it has no row.
- Masameer. The Saudi animated series on Netflix is animation, not anime, and our guide to Arabic cartoons by dialect explains why we have not yet placed its Arabic.
Where to go next
If you came here for Spacetoon, our page on Arabic TV channels you can stream live covers the channel itself alongside the news and kids' channels. For more listening at a similar level:
- Arabic TV series sorted by dialect and level, for hours of natural spoken Arabic once fusha dubs feel easy.
- Arabic films with English subtitles, each with the dialect you will hear.
- Arabic YouTube channels and podcasts, short enough to fit into every day.
- Which Arabic dialect to learn, if the fusha-or-dialect question above has you unsure where to start.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I watch anime in Arabic legally?
Three services carried official Arabic-dubbed anime when we checked on 2 November 2026. Spacetoon Go, the app of the Spacetoon channel, lists Detective Conan, Hunter x Hunter, Dragon Ball Super, My Hero Academia and older titles such as Sally. Shahid, MBC's service, has the classic Grendizer, Sindbad, Flone, Sally and Daddy-Long-Legs dubs and the Saudi-Japanese film The Journey. Crunchyroll lists an Arabic audio track on Frieren, Spy x Family, The Apothecary Diaries, Solo Leveling and Jujutsu Kaisen. Spacetoon Go has a free tier with ads; most episodes on Shahid and Crunchyroll need a subscription, and catalogues differ by country.
Are Arabic anime dubs in fusha or in dialect?
Almost all of them are in fusha, Modern Standard Arabic. Spacetoon, whose dubs come from the Syrian company Venus Centre, keeps to fusha so that a child anywhere in the Arab world can follow. The one exception we found is Future's Folktales (Asatir fi Qadim al-Zaman), a Saudi-Japanese series made in two Arabic versions: a colloquial one shown on MBC1 and a fusha one shown on Spacetoon.
Is Captain Majid streaming anywhere legally?
We found no official stream of Captain Majid (Captain Tsubasa in Japanese) on 2 November 2026: it was not in Shahid's search results and is not named in the Spacetoon Go store listing. The many full episodes on YouTube are uploads by viewers, not by a rights holder, so this page does not link them. The same is true of Adnan wa Lina (Future Boy Conan).
Does Crunchyroll have Arabic dubs?
Yes. On 2 November 2026 Crunchyroll's series pages listed Arabic among the audio languages of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Spy x Family, The Apothecary Diaries, Solo Leveling, Jujutsu Kaisen and the film The Journey. The same five series also list Arabic subtitles. Demon Slayer and One Piece did not list an Arabic track. Crunchyroll does not say which variety of Arabic its dubs use.
Is there anime set in the Arab world?
Yes, a few. Arabian Nights: Sindbad's Adventures (1975) is set in the world of the Thousand and One Nights, The Journey (2021) is set in Mecca in the Year of the Elephant, and Future's Folktales opens in Riyadh in 2050. Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic borrows its characters from the Thousand and One Nights but has no Arabic dub on Crunchyroll. The Heroic Legend of Arslan is often listed, but its kingdom of Pars is Persian, not Arab.
